Christmas Giving

Thank you so much for all the generous giving that was going on before and over Christmas. In early December we sent loads of Christmas presents to SCRATCH in addition to various monetary donations and also sent on several donations towards ARK Eastleigh hampers.

Above all, our special Christmas Charity – Bible Society – was really well supported this year. We were able to send £230.18 to Bible Society for their work amongst refugees in addition to raising £135 for every child at Stoke Park Infant School to receive a copy of The Christmas Poem by Bob Hartman. It was a lovely privilege for Anne and me on behalf of our Open the Book team to go round each class just before the end of term to give them out. The children normally come to us for assembly in the hall, so it was lovely to go to see them in smaller groups in their own rooms. After chatting with them for a few minutes, the teachers were able to play a video version of The Christmas Poem on the class screens.
