Prayer Healing Fellowship are holding their usual February Coffee Morning on Saturday 27th from 10 am to 12 noon. Please do come along and help us to raise money for any need God puts before us. Women’s World Day of Prayer 2016
This year the people of Cuba have written the material for our worship. They share their hopes and fears, asking for prayer for the future of their country after a long political struggle and economic embargo. It is estimated that roughly 3 million people in over 170 countries will come together to answer their request for prayer using the same order of service translated into about 60 languages and 1000 dialects. After Christmas Liz Farrington stepped down from running St Mary’s Flower Guild. We are really grateful for her huge commitment to this for several years, not only organising the rota from week to week, but also contributing her time and tremendous skill to the flowers for festivals. We have been treated to some wonderful designs and arrangements, so thank you so much, Liz. Jeanette Neale and Louise Unsworth have now taken on organizing the Flower Guild together.
Soup and Sweet Lunch for the homeless
‘Many hands make light work’ and this was certainly the case at the Soup and Sweet lunch on 17th January. Thank you to Ann and Dave for obtaining the soup, to Dorothy, Tony and Gordon for ensuring it was delivered piping hot to St Paul’s for 1pm. Christmas Giving
Thank you so much for all the generous giving that was going on before and over Christmas. In early December we sent loads of Christmas presents to SCRATCH in addition to various monetary donations and also sent on several donations towards ARK Eastleigh hampers. Above all, our special Christmas Charity – Bible Society – was really well supported this year. We were able to send £230.18 to Bible Society for their work amongst refugees in addition to raising £135 for every c
